Eve Sleep: Company History & Background
Eve Sleep was founded in London in October 2014 by Jas Bagniewski, Kuba Wieczorek, and James Fryer, pioneering the bed-in-a-box revolution in the UK. The company sold over 11,000 mattresses in its first year and went public on the London Stock Exchange in 2017.
After experiencing financial difficulties and entering administration in October 2022, Eve was acquired by Bensons for Beds - one of the UK's largest bed retailers with 160+ stores. This acquisition has provided stability, UK manufacturing, and in-store testing opportunities.
Today, Eve continues to innovate under Bensons ownership, launching the Wunderflip flippable mattress range and maintaining its Which? Best Buy status. All Eve mattresses are now manufactured at Bensons' facility in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Quick Verdict: Is Eve Worth It in 2026?
The short answer: yes if you want Eve’s foam hug, or that hug over full-size pocket springs. Start on the Original Hybrid unless you already know you want graphite Floatfoam — then the Premium Hybrid is the one we kept. Foam-only lives on Original and Premium. Wunderflip is a two-person unzip, not a party trick. Bensons ownership, Huntingdon manufacture, 200-night trial and 10-year warranty still apply. Heavier sleepers should still compare a Simba Hybrid Pro.
