    Simba Hybrid

Money is a tie at £699, so buy the springs you want — and Aerocoil sits on top, which is the bounce most UK shoppers came for. Buy Eve Original Hybrid instead if you want the hug first with the springs under the foam.

    The only difference that matters

Where the springs sit. Simba puts Aerocoil near your ribs. You feel bounce and air, then Simbatex, then a zoned foam stop. Eve puts EveComfort and memory foam on your shoulder first, then 800+ full-size coils push back. That is why two 25cm hybrids at the same from-price feel like different products.

James Wright at 86kg / 13st 8lb would put Simba on his own king on a sale if he wanted to turn, recover and not overheat. He would put Eve on that king if he already liked Eve foam and still wanted to roll. He would not pay full strikethrough for either.

Who slept on both — and who they would buy

    Simba Hybrid on a sale

    86kg / 13st 8lb · mixed back/side · Manchester terrace, no air-con

“I am the household-average body, not David’s 104kg. Simba felt like a hotel I could turn on. Eve felt like the Eve hug I already knew, with coils underneath doing the bounce. Same £699 from-price. I would buy Simba for my own king. I would send Sarah Mitchell to Eve.”

    Eve Original Hybrid

    62kg / 9st 11lb · side sleeper

“Simba sat me on top. Fine bounce. My shoulder still wanted more give. Eve’s foam took the first inch, then the springs stopped me. Bounce without losing the hug. If pressure relief at 62kg is what matters most, that is Eve — or Simba Pro’s wool, not this Simba best-seller.”

Neither volume model — step up

    104kg / 16st 5lb · back sleeper · sits on the edge

“Both 25cm beds held a lie-down. Both lost me at 6am when I sit to put socks on. Simba Hybrid is one Aerocoil layer. Eve is 800 coils. I want Simba Hybrid Pro or Eve Premium Hybrid. Do not sell me the word Hybrid and hope a second spring layer appears in the box.”

    Simba Hybrid

    71kg / 11st 2lb · hot sleeper · combo

“I am the heat veto. Mid-weight, so it is not a special-case body. Simba’s graphite Simbatex plus springs on top moved air. Eve still hugged first. I did not dump my hips on either. I would not buy Eve if I already wake damp on foam.”

Illustrated portrait of Rachel AdamsRachel Adams

Eve Original Hybrid if nights differ

    68kg / 10st 10lb · mixed · shares the bed

“Partner on a late shift. Eve swallowed more of a roll. Simba is the bed you bounce on — you also feel the bounce. If you both toss and want out of a crater, Simba. If one of you has to stay asleep, Eve. Weeks of the trial. Not a Saturday sit at Bensons.”

Money — the from-price is a tie, the trial is not

    • Same opening ticket. Official Simba and Eve pages both showed from £699 on 5 September 2026. Simba’s king was £999 overstock. Eve often one-prices the range in a promo. Cost-per-night only looks civilised if you buy the sale and keep the bed.
    • Simba’s hidden discount is eligibility, not a code. Key workers, teachers, carers, military, disabled, students, charity staff — Simba printed a community king at £789.21 that day. Check the live page.
    • Eve can charge you to change your mind. 200 nights on both. Eve’s collection is free for the first 40 nights, then about £40. Simba collects free across the 200. If you are a slow decider, that is real money.
    • Retailer trial ≠ brand trial. Buy at John Lewis or Dreams and read that seller. It is not automatically Simba’s 200 nights with free collection.

    Four unique UK traps

    4ft frame

Simba Hybrid lists a small double. Eve Original Hybrid does not. Eve foam Original still does. Wrong model, not a missing tick box.

    3ft frame

Both volume hybrids sell a UK single. Eve Premium Hybrid does not list one. If you are stepping up Eve for David’s hips and you have a 3ft bed, you are stuck.

    Next-day vs boxed-to-room

Simba: order by 1pm, free next day, mainland. Eve: boxed to the room, expand a few hours, some postcodes charged. Terrace stairs still want two people on either 25cm hybrid.

    Wrong sibling

Essential is 20cm guest Simba. Foam Original is hug-only Eve. Pro / Premium Hybrid are the 28cm step. Ultra and Wunderflip Ultimate are the flagships, and you pay for deeper sheets. The two compared here are each brand’s default.

    Skip both if

    • You wanted the cheaper hug — start on Emma Original, usually the lower ticket
    • You are David’s build (104kg, edge-sitter) and you already know 25cm felt shallow — buy Simba Hybrid Pro or Eve Premium Hybrid
    • You wanted 365 nights — that is Nectar, not these two

    FAQ

    James’s close

Rank: Simba Hybrid 4.4/5 over Eve Original Hybrid 4.3/5 for a typical mixed UK sleeper who will wait for a sale. Eve wins the hug, the quieter night, and Sarah’s shoulder. David Patel buys neither of these boxes. Use the 200 nights. Keep the receipt.
