Emma vs Eve: which should you buy?

Emma Original if you want the money. Eve Original Hybrid if you already want Eve’s hug, a spring shove when you turn, and a Bensons sit. Same 25cm. Same 200-night trial. Old all-foam Eve Original is the wrong model.

    Emma Original

Same 25cm, same 200-night trial as the Eve, and £350 cheaper at the from-price. Buy Eve Original Hybrid instead if you already want Eve’s hug with a spring shove and a Bensons lie-down first.

    The decision, first

    Buy Emma Original

    Winner for most UK wallets.

    • Current Emma hybrid, sale from £349
    • Sarah’s slower shoulder sink. Rachel’s quieter couple bed
    • UK small double actually exists

    Buy Eve Original Hybrid

Winner if you already want Eve.

    • Hug, then 800+ 12cm springs. From £699
    • Rachel turns without a swim. Emma noticed the edge sit
    • Bensons lie-down. UK single listed

Heavier tester? David would not start here — try Emma Original Lite. Hot? Skip both hero models and open Emma Original Pro or Elite. Still choosing a type, not a brand? Homepage shortlist.

I am James. 86kg. I roll from back to side. I slept the current UK Emma Original and the current UK Eve Original Hybrid — not the old all-foam Emma, not leftover Eve foam, not Elite, not Wunderflip. Here is which one to buy.

Prices move weekly. The 200-night trial is the product if you buy from the brand, not a slightly cheaper third-party with a shorter one.

    What it actually felt like

Emma is the cheaper hybrid. Eve is the Eve hug with a shove. On Original I drop through MemoryAdapt, then InfinitySpring says enough. On Eve Original Hybrid I get the EveComfort hug first, then 12cm coils push back. I can turn on both at 86kg. I would send a tight budget to Emma first. I would buy Eve on a sale if you already liked Eve foam and wanted to be able to turn.

Sarah Mitchell, 62kg, side. Shoulder needed a slower sink. Emma takes the first inch. Eve hugs, then the springs talk sooner — fine if you like a springier side, less so if your shoulder is the whole reason you are shopping. More cradle is Elite, not leftover Eve foam.

Emma Thompson, 71kg, side-dominant. Both held a flat back. Eve feels springier when you plant your hips. Emma is the quieter, cheaper stop. Sitting to put socks on, Eve’s edge was the one she noticed.

Rachel Adams, 68kg, mixed positions, she tosses. Eve’s pocket springs make a turn a shove, not a swim. Emma is still a hybrid — you can turn — but it is the slower of the two. Combo sleepers who hate getting stuck should try Eve.

David Patel, 104kg, back. Neither hero model is a plank. Emma Original and Eve Original Hybrid both sit medium to medium-firm. He would trial Original Lite first, or skip this pair and look firmer.

    Buy X if / Buy Y if

    Buy Emma Original if

    • You want the current Emma line, not a 2019 foam award
    • The ticket matters — Eve starts around double
    • Side sleeper, quiet couple, or a 4ft frame
    • You will use the 200 nights in your own room

    Buy Eve Original Hybrid if

    • You already liked Eve foam and hated feeling stuck
    • You want a Bensons lie-down before the box
    • Combo sleeper who turns, or you sit on the edge
    • You need a UK single hybrid — Eve lists a 3ft here

    Deal-breakers

    Skip Emma Original if

You sleep hot every night — that is Pro / Elite money.

You need a high-street sit this weekend. Emma is mostly a box.

You are a dedicated stomach sleeper at David’s 104kg. Lite or look firmer.

    Skip Eve Original Hybrid if

You have a 4ft frame. This model did not list a small double.

You are buying “Eve” because a 2019 foam review ranked it cheaper than Emma. That mattress is not this one.

You are shopping for cooling. Eve Premium Hybrid is a different upgrade.

    Emma vs Eve FAQs

    James’s push

Open Emma Original unless you can name why you want Eve. If the reason is “I liked Eve foam and I turn,” open Eve Original Hybrid on a sale. If the reason is a blog from 2019, you are shopping a mattress they do not sell.
